PRE-AMPLIFIER
The preamplifier produces the sound quality which you can get only from a Hilton. Separate bass, mid-range and treble controls for the music provide extremely wide latitude. Adjusting the bass, mid-range or treble for the music does not affect the voice program. Two identical high impedance microphone inputs are provided, each with its own volume and tone control, record reset and remote volume control. The Hilton microphone circuitry produces extremely crisp and clear voice reproduction so that the commands and cues stand out clearly over the background music .CASE AND CHASSIS
The outer case is constructed from 3/8" thick MDF wood product, sprayed with a charcoal colored nitrocellulose finish and trimmed with plated metal hardware. The lid has two takeapart hinges for easy removal when in use. Four spring feet prevent the needle skipping if accidentally bumped.RECORDING AND PLAYBACK
Tape recording and playback capability: Two track recordings, with voice on one track and the music on the other, may be made using a stereo tape, MiniDisc recorder, computer or other recording device. Each auxiliary input and output has its own level control for matching to all recorders and players. Two output jacks on the front of the AC-205 provide the separated voice and music signals. Two input jacks are provided for playing back a two track recording. Using the mic and music volume and tone controls, the program can be adjusted for the best play-back of voice and music. Normal single track recordings of the combined voice and music program can be made from one of the rear output signal jacks. Two jacks are provided, one a low (microphone level) output signal, the other high (line level). These jacks can also be used for slaving.OUTPUT
A two position output selector switch makes the AC205 a truly versatile sound system. The "normal" mode makes the full output of each channel available, with each channel under a separate set of controls. The "tandem" mode puts both main and monitor channels under a single set of controls. The full output of each channel is available to operate up to four 8 ohm speakers per channel or a total of eight speakers.REMOTE MUSIC VOLUME CONTROL
Remote music volume control allows precise adjustments of the music level at the microphone, to increase music for added excitement, or to reduce music for critical commands or cues, all without touching the knobs on the amplifier. The tone arm can be reset remotely to any preset location on a 45 RPM record by pressing a button on the base of the microphone. For a music pause for teaching or walkthrough, keeping the button depressed will keep the tone arm lifted; and releasing the button will restart the music. Two types of resets are available: one has an uncalibrated slide stop for approximate record reset position; the other is dial calibrated for precise settings. The AC205 when purchased with record reset, includes the remote control assembly. This assembly is designed for use with most low impedance microphones which have a standard 3prong audio connector. When ordering please indicate the make and model of the microphone to be used.TURNTABLE
The turntable speed is infinitely variable from 30 to 55 RPM. A neon lighted strobe is provided for a precise speed setting. There is no speed fluctuation from changes in line voltage. The tone arm has a ceramic cartridge, utilizing a high compliance stylus. The tone arm is resilient mounted to reduce unwanted sound pickup. For customers with 50 cycle current, the speed control can be calibrated for 50 cycle operation, at no additional charge if requested at the time of order.VOLTAGE
The Hilton AC-205 will operate on 100/120/230/240 volts AC, 50 or 60 cycle. A simple change at the power entrance module converts the unit to the required voltage.
