GENERAL DESCRIPTION |
A powerful dual channel amplifier, each channel may be used independently or combined. The MA-500 has the features, sound and output power of our AC-500 sound system. Input and output signal levels are all independently adjustable making the MA-500 fully compatible with Laptop Computers, MP3 players, MiniDisc, CD, and tape players.

CHASSIS
The aluminum chassis is finished with a super hard black powder coat finish. All the major controls are mounted on the front panel for easy access. Microphone, input and output signal jacks are on the front edge panel out of the way and minimizing cable strain. Four convenient AC outlets are located on the top deck for powering a wireless microphone, MiniDisc, CD and other devices. The unit will fit into most standard size attaché cases for transportation. A low profile handle is located on one end of the chassis and may be used for carrying.PRE-AMPLIFIER
The MA-500 has the outstanding sound quality only available on a Hilton sound system. Separate bass and treble controls for the music provide extremely wide latitude. Changing the music bass or treble controls has no effect on the voice program. Two identical high impedance microphone inputs are independently controlled, each with its own volume and tone control. The Hilton microphone circuitry produces extremely crisp and clear voice reproduction, so that commands and cues stand out clearly over the music background.PLAYBACK AND RECORDING
Two independent auxiliary input jacks, each with its own level control, allows two players to be connected at the same time. Each input utilizes a stereo type jack allowing play back from a stereo signal combining both tracks. A mode selector switch allows one of the auxiliary inputs to play back a two track recording with the music and voice separated or as a combined signal. When playing back a two track recording the music and microphone controls are used to set the voice/music ratio, level and tone. Recordings of the combined program can be made from the top deck output jacks. One is a low (microphone) level, the other is a high (line) level. Separated voice and music signals can be recorded from two level adjustable output jacks on the front panel.REMOTE MUSIC VOLUME CONTROL
The music volume level can be adjusted from the microphone using a Hilton microphone cable with remote volume control. This feature allows the music to be increased for added excitement, or lowered to one tenth for critical commands or cues, without touching the knobs on the amplifier.TWIN ILLUMINATED VUEMETERS
Two 20 bar LED output indicators one for voice and one for music. These brightly lighted LEDs tell at a glance the loudness of the music, voice, and the balance between them. Easily seen from a distance.OUTPUT SELECTOR SWITCHES
To make the MA-500 more versatile two output mode switches are provided. A "VOLUME MODE" selector switch has "NORMAL" or "INCREASE", the "NORMAL" setting allows easy control of the volume when high volume is not required. At the "INCREASE" setting higher volume is obtained with less movement of the control. The two amplifier channels can be operated either independently or combined by using the "MAIN/MONITOR" selector switch. When operated in the "COMBINED" mode both amplifiers are controlled simultaneously with the main controls.MUSIC EQUALIZER JACK
For special effects from an equalizer, pitch shifter, or other external device. A stereo jack is used for combination signal input/output.VOLTAGE
Standard computer type AC power cord. Fused entrance module with off/on switch is changeable for 100, 120, 230, and 240 volt operation. MOV® spike protection built-in. On the top deck are four convenient switched and fused AC outlets (EURO models have three). A power "ON" light is located on the front panel. The MA-500 will operate on either 50 or 60 Hz without any changes.ACCESSORIES
Included with the MA-500: two series "Y" speaker connectors, power cord, two spare fuses, personalized name plate, and instruction manual.
