INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHANGING NAP MOTOR IN AC-300
FOR UNITS LATER THAN JANUARY, 1976.
Locate the handle cover (where the initials are installed), slide a screwdriver under the end of the handle cover and pry it off, exposing two bolts which hold the handle on. Remove these two bolts. On the opposite side of the unit locate the two rubber feet. Remove the bolts which hold the rubber feet on. Slide the unit out of the case, BEING CAREFUL TO PUSH IN ON THE RESET BUTTON AS THE UNIT IS SLID OUT OF THE CASE.
Remove the bottom heat plate which runs across the bottom of the unit, exposing the motor assembly.
Locate the tension spring which provides the spring tension to hold the motor assembly in contact with the turntable. Remove the nuts and washer from this bolt, remove the spring and the entire motor assembly will swing out so you can get at it.
Unsolder the three leads, the two going to the motor and the one ground lead. Remove one of the hex bolts holding the motor mount to the bracket, slide the grommet off the other one and the motor will come out. Remove the two bolts holding the bracket to the motor. Reinstall the motor furnished in reverse order.
