INSTRUCTIONS FOR REMOVING PRE-AMP AND

 CHANGE REMOTE JACK ON AC-300

REMOVE THE UNIT FROM THE CASE AS FOLLOWS;

Locate the handle cover, slide a screwdriver under the end of the handle cover and pry it off, exposing two bolts which hold the handle on. Remove these two bolts. On the opposite side of the unit, locate the two rubber feet. Remove the bolts which hold the rubber feet on. The entire unit will now slide out of the carrying case.

Remove all of the knobs from the control on the front panel. Remove the small grounding springs underneath each knob. Remove the hex nuts from each of the control shafts.

Stand the unit up so that you have access to the underneath side. Remove the bottom heat plate.

Remove the plug-in connector at the end of the pre-amp board. (it will be necessary to loosen the spot of clear plastic that holds it in place). The entire pre-amp assembly will come out now.

If you need to change a control, remove all of the hex nuts holding the mounting plate on; This will expose the circuit board for removal of any controls.

TO CHANGE THE REMOTE JACK, UNSOLDER THE WIRE, (COMING FROM THE PRE-AMP) AT THE JACK. REMOVE THE OLD JACK AND REPLACE WITH THE NEW ONE. RESOLDER THE WIRE TO THE CENTER PIN ON THE NEW JACK. REVERSE THE TAKE APART PROCEDURES TO CLOSE UP THE AMPLIFIER.
