AC-300, AC-300A, AC-300B, & AC-300C

REMOVING AMPLIFIER FROM CASE

Slide a screwdriver under the chrome handle cover and snap it off, exposing the two screws which hold the handle in place. Remove these screws. On the opposite side of the unit, locate the two rubber feet. Remove the screws that hold these two feet in place.

Before removing the amplifier from the case take off the platter and set it off to the side. Also, make sure the tone arm is locked in it's clip. The entire unit will now slide out of the carrying case. (For 300 & 300A, Be careful that the circuit breaker does not hang up on the case when removing the amplifier.)

LOCATING THE SWITCH

When choosing the location for the switch:

1. Be sure the switch will clear the normal swing of the counter weight of the tone arm.

2. Insure there is Clarence for a 12" 33 RPM record.

3. The switch should be located close to the Tone Arm and Jack.

WIRING

The tape input jack has three solder lugs.

Locate the one that has the center of shielded wire going to the preamplifier, remove this wire and connect it to the center lug on the switch.

Connect a wire from the jack lug, that you just removed the other wire from, to one end of the switch.

Remove the hot wire from the tone arm, red or center of shielded cable, and connect it to the other end of the switch.
