INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHANGING BRISTOL MOTOR IN MICRO-75
There are five bolts which hold the entire assembly together. Two are on the right side, two are on the left side and one is on the top, directly under the turntable, near the center from right to left and located 3/4" back from the front edge.
On the left side, one bolt is located 1/2" from the front and the other is located 3/8" from the back. On the right side, one bolt is located 1/2" from the front and the other is located 3/8" from the back. Remove all 5 of these bolts and top will separate from the bottom.
Locate the tension spring which provides the spring tension to hold the motor assembly in contact with the turntable. Remove the nut and washer from this bolt, then remove the spring and the entire motor assembly will swing out so you can get at it.
CAUTION; BEFORE LOOSENING THE MOTOR MOUNTING BOLTS, TAKE A A SHARP PENCIL AND MARK THE EXACT LOCATION OF THE MOTOR ON THE MOUNTING PLATE. THE NEW MOTOR MUST BE INSTALLED IN THIS EXACT LOCATION, OR IT WILL NOT HOLD SPEED.
After marking the location of the motor, remove the two motor mounting bolts, unsolder the motor leads and remove the old motor.
Re-install the new motor and adjust the spring tension according to the enclosed instructions.
