TO REMOVE AND REPLACE MICRO 75B OR 75C PREAMP

Take off the turntable platter and set it off to the side.

Make sure power is removed from the system and it has not been used for 2 hours.

To remove the chassis from the case: stick a screwdriver under the chrome handle cover and snap it off. Remove the 2 screws holding the handle, and the 2 rubber feet on the opposite side. The chassis will now slide out of the case.

Turn the M75B up side down on a pillow or soft foam to protect the tone arm. Refer to the drawing below and take off connectors "A", "C", and "D". Connector "D" may have a plastic cable tie that holds it to another wire that goes to the rear of the system. If you have this plastic cable tie cut it off to free the connector.

Note how the wire running to connector "D" are run so when you replace the preamp you can run them the same way.

Turn the unit back over so you are facing the front of the M75B as if to use it.

Refer to the lower drawing on page 2. The black dots and the small circles both refer to screws located on the top deck of the unit. To remove the preamp assembly from the M75B, take out the screws represented by the black dots. There are 7 of these to take out.

Once you have removed the 7 screws you can take out the preamp, and install the new one, being sure to run the wires to connector "D" the same way they had been run. Reinstall the 7 screws into the new preamp.

With the new preamp installed, turn the unit over and reinstall connectors "A", "C" and "D".

Now that you have the preamp installed and connected you can plug in power cord and speaker and check out the system. If all works well put the system back in the case and return the defective preamp to us.

Should you find you still have a problem call us and we will take it from there.
