INSTRUCTIONS TO ADJUST SPEED CONTROL MICRO-75B, 75C, & MICRO-100
Slide a screwdriver under the chrome handle cover and snap it off, exposing the two screws which hold the handle in place. Remove these screws. On the opposite side of the unit, locate the two rubber feet. Remove the screws that hold these two feet in place.
Before removing the amplifier from the case take off the platter and set it off to the side. Also, make sure the tone arm is locked in it's clip. The entire unit will now slide out of the carrying case. Be careful that the circuit breaker does not hang up on the case when removing the amplifier.
Turn the unit upside down, control panel away from you, on a pillow or sort foam to protect the tone arm. Note the location of the SPEED CONTROL TRANSPORT (looks like a truncated triangle with a long arm attached to it by two screws), and the THROUGHOUT (disengages the motor in the off position). There is also a small brown micro switch that turns the motor off that might need adjusting after the speed is adjusted.
There is a long arm coming from the speed control knob to the center brass well. It is attached to the speed control transport assembly by two screws. Loosen the two screws and move the speed control arm while holding the speed control transport in place. Move the speed control arm in the direction needed to correct the speed indicator error. Lightly tighten the two screws, replace the turntable and check the speed. If you don't get it right the first time, repeat the adjustment procedure.
Once the speed is adjusted properly tighten the two adjustment screws.
Check that the motor disengages from the bottom of the platter in the off position (see drawing). If not adjust the throw out by loosening the two 1/4 inch nuts and moving the throw out so that the motor mount rests on the ledge in the off position.
Also check that the brown micro switch is adjusted to cut power to the motor in the off position. Be certain to work in this area of the Micro-75B only with the power unplugged! If the motor doesn't turn off, loosen the screw and nut on the micro switch plate and adjust its position until it does turn the motor off in the speed off position.
