UHF CONCERT 77

The Samson UHF CONCERT 77 true diversity system operates in the 801 to 805 MHZ frequency range. Operating in this less crowded UHF bandwidth means greater clarity, less interference and eliminates "drop-out". True diversity technology maximizes the operating range (up to 300 feet) and reduces potential interference problems using automatic switching between two independent receivers.

Several quality headsets are available -- see below for details.

The CR77 diversity receiver is very compact, measuring only 8-1/2" wide X 1-3/4" high X 4-1/2" deep, it is designed to occupy a half space in a standard rack or used freestanding. A six segment LED meter displays the strength of the UHF signal being received, another six segment LED meter displays the strength of the AUDIO signal, two other LED lights indicate which receiver is receiving, A or B, and a power on indicator. Two signal output jacks are provided, one a 1/4" jack for unbalanced output and a XLR jack when a balanced output is required.

Two types of transmitters are available, either the belt pack CT7 unit that can be used with several styles of microphones or an HT7 handheld microphone with its built-in transmitter. Both types of transmitters operate on a single standard 9 volt alkaline battery giving about 12 hours of service. The belt pack transmitter has a mini-XLR 3 pin jack allowing several styles of headset microphones or lavalier microphones to be attached easily. A set of LEDs on the transmitter indicates battery level. An audio on-off switch on the transmitter allows the microphone to be turned off without an annoying pop or thud through the speaker. The hand held microphone/transmitter offers all of the same features as the belt pack transmitter.

A complete system consists of: receiver with power supply, belt pack transmitter with headset or lavalier microphone or a hand held microphone with built-in transmitter, 9 volt alkaline battery, and connecting patch cord.

Headset Microphones

The Samson UHF CONCERT 77 system can also be purchased with other headsets. We stock the following headsets:

Gemini HSM-2_a.JPG (12688 bytes)

ev_hm2_b.JPG (17361 bytes)

The Samson Qe Aerobics headset and the Samson Qv Vocal headset  look the same and are the same price. The Qe is moisture resistant for rugged long life. We do not stock the Qv as in our testing we found the tone quality is virtually the same as the Qe so why not get the moisture resistant one. Both mount from behind the head and over the ears. An adjustable band at the back insures a secure but comfortable fit.

The Gemini HSM-2 headset is a good quality, low priced, and light weight headset.

Electro-Voice's HM-2 has excellent tone response and light weight in a comfortable over the ears design.

Electro-Voice RE97 ultra-low profile headset! Sorry no picture.
