"Series-Y" Connector for ALL Hilton Amps
This "Series-Y" Connector is required any time you are going to connect speakers that will drop below the safe operating range of your Hilton amplifier. The normal operating range of a Hilton amplifier is 4-8 Ohms. If your speakers drop below 4 Ohms, they can cause the amp to cut out as the safety circuit protects the amplifier. If you are using a single speaker, it must be at least 4 Ohms. When connecting multiple speakers (like 2 full Yak Stacks) you must NOT plug them in directly to the amp with separate wires. You plug both speaker wires into the "Series-Y" Connector, and then plug the "Series-Y" Connector into the back of the amp.
